ROAD CLOSURES

Important information - please read carefully.

All marathon competitors are expected to reach the 32 km mark (Rotary Park) by 10:30 am and to finish by 12:00 midday, due to road closures.

Senior Events: Enter Online:

Full Marathon: $80.00 (42.2 km)

Half Marathon: $55.00 (21.1 km)

10 km Run: $40.00

5 km Run: $30.00

Microfibre towels $20 - can be purchased on the day.

Junior Events: No online entries. Enter on the day up to 15 min before the start or on Saturday at Senior registration.

5 year old 300m: $10.00

6-7 year old 800m: $10.00

8,9,10 year old 1.5km: $10.00

11,12,13 year old 2km: $10.00

All Junior finishes will receive a medal.

COURSE

Scenic riverside run along the Macleay River with a return on level bitumen road to Trial Bay Gaol. Course closes at 12 noon.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

Note: Competitors are NOT covered for personal liability insurance in their entry fee and compete at their own risk.

Please note the following important information:

There are no online entries for the Junior races. Enter for these junior events on the Saturday at senior registration and on Sunday up to 15 minutes before the start of each event. Online entries for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km Run and 5 km Run close at 5 pm on Tuesday the 6th June. Late entries for these four senior events will be accepted at registration on Saturday the 10th June (2 pm to 4 pm), subject to availability if race limits are reached, see "field limits" above. An additional late fee of $15.00 is payable with entries received on Saturday 10th June.

No entries for the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km Run or 5 km Run on Sunday 11th June

Marathon - 18 years on day of race

Half Marathon - 15 years on day of race

10 Km Run - 10 years on day of race

5 Km Enticer Run - 10 years on day of race.

FULL MARATHON

1st Outright Male & Female: $250.00 + Medal.

2nd Outright Male & Female: $200.00 + Medal.

3rd Outright Male & Female: $150.00 + Medal.

Winners in age categories Male & Female: $80.00 + Medal.

18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70-74 years, 75 years and over, 1st local Male / Female

HALF MARATHON

1st Outright Male & Female: $150.00 + Medal.

2nd Outright Male & Female: $125.00 + Medal.

3rd Outright Male & Female: $100.00 + Medal.

Winners in age categories Male & Female: $55.00 + Medal.

15-17 years, 18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60-69 years, 70-74 years, 75 years and over, 1st local Male / Female

10KM RUN

1st Outright Male & Female: $100.00 + Medal.

5KM ENTICER RUN

1st Outright Male & Female: $75.00 + Medal.

2nd Outright Male & Female: $50.00 + Medal.

3rd Outright Male & Female: $25.00 + Medal.

There are no age categories for the 5 km Run. As a trial enticer race, the 5 km run will not have age category prize money or trophies awarded this year. If numbers are sufficient these may be introduced next year.

LOCAL MALE & FEMALE

Macleay valley residents, as determined by post code.

SPECIAL NEEDS BOXES

Marathon and Half Marathon runners can place food and drink items in the “Special Needs Boxes” at registration, for distribution to the following four drink stations:

9km/33km

15km/27km

20km/22km

Items should be identified or personalized in some way. All items must be delivered to registration before 6:30 am on Sunday as the vehicle will leave at 6:30 sharp.

TOILETS

Council Car Park, Paragon Ave. (6 Km)
Porta-Loo at Rotary Park (9 Km)
Porta-Loo at Back Creek Rd (20 Km)

DRINK STATIONS

In addition to the drink stations mentioned above (special needs), there will also be a drink station at 2.3 km for the 10 km & 5 km Runs.

LATE ENTRIES

Saturday only and subject to availability, at the shelter shed below the Gaol. A late fee of $15 applies. There are field limits on all four adult events (see above).

REGISTRATION

All competitors must register either on Saturday or on Sunday at least 15 min before the start, to collect their race kit and timing chip. Registration for both days is at the shelter shed below the Gaol at Arakoon.

Saturday, 10th June 2017, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

Sunday, 11th June 2017, 6:00 am, up to 15 mins prior to each race commencement.

RESULTS

Each entrant in the Marathon, Half Marathon,10 km Run and 5 km Run events will receive a finishers certificate and race medallion. Results should be available on our results page immediately after the presentation.

Approximately 12:00 noon

ROAD CLOSURES

From Spencerville Bridge to Hat Head turnaround. Must run on LEFT hand side on outgoing journey and return on SAME side of closed road. In town area must run on footpaths where available.

LUCKY DRAWS

Entrants in all four (4) adult events are eligible to win lucky draws including accommodation packages and sponsors products but must be present at the draw.

A 10 Minute massage is available for competitors at completion of race. A $5 donation for the Fred Hollows Foundation would be appreciated.
